Simplehost offers IMAP E-mail services with the security of SSL encryption.

Server Settings

IMAPs:           mail.simplehost.co.nz      port: 993

Please see the instructions below for your E-mail client.  If your client is not listed here please contact us if you require assistance setting this up.

This will guide you through setting up a new IMAPs account in your client.  You can use these instructions with the SMTP Section of How do I setup Secure E-mail? to configure secure SMTP (Outgoing mail) with your IMAPs account (Incoming mail).

Thunderbird

 Open up Thunderbird.

• From the top toolbar click Tools > Account Settings
• Click on "Add Account"

Ensure "Email account" is selected.

• Click Next.

Enter your Name that will be displayed when sending email and your E-mail address - this is your mailbox address or the email address you would like people to reply to.

• Click Next.

Select "IMAP"

In the "Incomming Server" field enter: mail.simplehost.co.nz

• Click Next.

Enter your mailbox username (this is your mailbox address, for eg. user@domain.co.nz) into the "Incomming User Name" field.

Enter an account name for this account into the "Account Name" field.

While still in Account Settings.

• Click "Server Settings" under the Account Name you have just created.
• Click the button for "SSL"
• Click OK

Check your settings work as expected
